Man arrested after police seize 48 cannabis plants in Mansfield house raid

A man has been arrested after police raided a house in Mansfield and seized more than 40 cannabis plants.

Officers executed the drugs warrant at a property on Clumber Street, Kirkby at around 10am yesterday (February 4).

A 42-year-old man arrested for production of drugs, resisting arrest and money laundering offences after 48 cannabis plants were found during the search.

Police Constable Mark Topham said: "We'd like to thank the community who continue to help the force and local partners to tackle drugs in the Ashfield in the area.

"This was an excellent job by a number of different departments across the force, who are working together to dismantle the drugs supply into the area and protect our community."

The man was later released under investigation.
