Man arrested after cash and clothes stolen from NHS key workers at Nottinghamshire hospital

Officers were called to Queens Medical Centre at around 1.05am this morning (Monday, August 3) after a items including cash and clothes were reported have been stolen from a staffroom.
It is thought that a man had fled the scene after the report was made.

Hide AdNottinghamshire Police deployed officers to make enquiries and establish the circumstances.
Half an hour after the report was made, police arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the burglary. Some of the stolen items were also recovered as part of police enquiries.
Police Constable Keith Parkes, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police takes burglary very seriously and will investigate all reports thoroughly.
“Our officers acted quickly to make an arrest in connection with the report and we are now questioning a man to further understand what happened.

Hide Ad“The NHS has been vital in the country’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic and it is awful to think that someone would steal from key workers.
“Thankfully, we have recovered some of the items and returned them to their rightful owners.
“I’d ask that anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
