Man arrested after brick thrown through police car window in Mansfield

An officer had just returned to their vehicle at around 4.30am this morning in Poppy Court, Mansfield, after attending a separate matter.
As the officer began to drive away, a brick was thrown through the rear window.

Hide AdPolice acted quickly to arrest a 32-year-old man moments later on suspicion of criminal damage.
Inspector Simon Riley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers are dedicated to serving and protecting the public.
“To throw a brick through the window of a police car is not only disrespectful, but incredibly dangerous.
“It could have caused serious injury to an officer or a member of the public had the brick caused the driver to crash.

Hide Ad“Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident and we are now working to establish what happened.”
