A Playstation4, games and cash are believed to be among the items stolen after a back door was smashed to gain entry to a property on Grindon Crescent, Bulwell, at around 3.30am on August 1.
The man remains in police custody and is being questioned on suspicion of burglary and possession of cannabis.
Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas said: "Burglary can have a devastating impact on the victims and the thought of someone entering their home, where they should feel safe, can be really unsettling.
