Detective Sergeant Dave Prest said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with any information that could help to contact us on 101 quoting incident 680 of 3 June.
He added: "The injured man has been treated in hospital and luckily he has not been seriously injured but we are keen to piece together what had happened during the incident."
