Knives worth £12,000 stolen from Mansfield Woodhouse business

HUNDREDS of knives have been stolen from an outdoor equipment business in Mansfield Woodhouse during an overnight break-in.

Burglars stole around 300 knives and outdoor equipment from Kids Camo Kit, based at an industrial unit on Grove Street, between 6.30pm on 4th July and 9am the following day.

Police say the blades, which included survival, military, hunting and fishing knives, are worth around £12,000.

Equipment including camping kit and water flasks was also stolen as well as clothing like boots, jackets and balaclavas.

Said Insp Mark Webster: “A substantial amount of equipment was stolen in the burglary and the thieves may now try to sell the stolen items on.

“I would ask anyone with information or anyone offered these items for sale to contact police.”

Officers are currently examining CCTV footage recorded in the area around the time of the burglary and carrying out house to house enquiries.

Witnesses or anyone who has information should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 0300 300 99 99 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
