Kirkby offender handed criminal behaviour order following a string of shop thefts
A prolific shoplifter has been banned from entering a plethora of supermarkets following a string of shop thefts in Kirkby.
Naomi Toor was handed her Criminal Behaviour Order after she appeared in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 19 March following a string of shop thefts in the Kirkby-in-Ashfield area.
She targeted the same Tesco in Lowmoor Road on three separate occasions from 14 February to 12 March, helping herself to chocolate and drink cans.
The 40-year-old was then tracked down and arrested by local officers on 18 March.

Toor, of Waverley Close, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, must not enter Tesco Express, Farm Foods, Morrisons, Boyes or The Co-operative.
The Criminal Behaviour Order, applied on 19 March, is now in place for three years.
PCSO Keegan Killen, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Toor has shown through her repeated actions a complete disrespect and disregard for the law.
“We were left with no option but to seek this order, enforcing the message that we will not tolerate these sorts of offences and will take robust action against anyone involved in them.
“We want Kirkby-in-Ashfield to be safe a place to live, work and visit, and this result is just the beginning of our efforts to reduce reoffending among shoplifters and help shop staff feel safer.
“Offenders are warned that further CBOs are being imposed as we continue to tackle shoplifting proactively.
“These orders are in place to protect our communities. If you witness someone breach their order, I’d urge you to report it to us via 101 or online.”
