Andrew Freeman, aged 61, of Urban Road, admitted making the explosive devices between March 11 and 15, and possessing the blade on March 13, when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court.
He was remanded to custody and appeared at Nottingham Crown Court today, via video-link, for a committal hearing.
The Recorder of Nottingham, Judge Gregry Dickinson QC, adjourned the case to a later date for probation reports.
