JAILED: Mansfield man who sexually abused children over 12 year period
Dean William Burden, 34, was sentenced yesterday (Monday) at Nottingham Crown Court having been found guilty of 24 sexual offences against three children and five cruelty offences following a 10-day trial.
Detective Chief Inspector Pete Quinn, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Burden’s horrific actions have had a profound impact on these children who have shown immense bravery in speaking out about their abuse.

“I also hope this sentence gives encouragement to any other survivors of abuse that they can come forward and we will investigate and seek justice for them - even if the abuse happened a long time ago.”
Burden was given a 25-year custodial sentence and will be subject to five further years on extended licence.
He was also made subject of an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must sign the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely.
