He said: “He tried to order a type of pizza that they didn’t make and he also tried to pay for it with a pound coin and a railcard. The manager came out of the back and tried to explain that they didn’t make the pizza he had asked for, and the defendant then said, ‘I’m going to f*** you up,’ and tried to climb over the counter.“He then punched the manager three times on the chin and then went into a rage, ripping a laptop from the counter and throwing it, hitting the other employee.

“He was last before the court in September, when he was given a 20-week prison sentence for violence.”Mitigating, Pamela Coxon said that Wells had issues with alcohol and had only started seeing his mother, who had her own issues with alcohol, when he was 18.She said: “Prior to his recall to prison he had been out in the community for five weeks. He had been drinking with his mother and they had been talking about the past, which didn’t help matters.“He thought he was paying with her debit card, but she passed him her railcard.”Magistrates gave Wells a 24-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to attend 10 rehabilitation days. He was also ordered to pay £420 in compensation to the employees and £363 in compensation to Domino’s for the damaged computer.
