A hungry drunken teen who tried to get into a closed takeaway in Mansfield was ordered to pay out £190 by magistrates.

Daniel Luke Harrison (19) of Moorland Way, Mansfield, was stopped by police after he was found banging on the window of the Subway sandwich shop on Toothill Lane at 3.50am.

Officers saw that he was drunk and issued a section 35 order, meaning he had to leave the area. Mansfield magistrates were told how he called one of the officers an offensive name before leaving the area.

However, he was spotted minutes later on the same street and stopped again.

Appearing before magistrates unrepresented, he admitted he had too much to drink. He was fined £85 and made to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
