Homeless Ashfield man jailed for assaulting police officers and stealing from store in the district
A homeless Ashfield man has been jailed after he stole from a shop and assaulted two police officers.
Darren Frost, aged 32, of no fixed address, was already serving a suspended prison sentence imposed in May for breaching the terms of a restraining order when the incidents happened earlier this month.
Court records for Nottingham Magistrates’ Court, where Frost appeared on June 20, state that he stole items to the value of £7 from the Go Local Extra store, in Northwood Avenue, Sutton, on June 17.

Two days later on June 19, Frost as involved in the incident where the two police officers were assaulted in Willow Crescent, Sutton, records state.
However, a separate charge of resisting arrest was withdrawn by magistrates in Nottingham.
Frost admitted shop theft, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, and committing further offences while serving a suspended sentence. He was jailed for a total of 17 weeks.
