Here's what criminals have been up to in the Mansfield area in the past week

BERRY HILL

Theft – between March 16 and March 20, a catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Auris on Dorchester Drive. There is no specific time frame for the offence.

Another catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Auris on Lansdowne Avenue. The incident happened between noon-10pm on March 20.

Burglary dwelling – a ‘walk in’ burglary was reported on Collingham Road on March 23. The offenders stole a driver’s licence and cushions from the property.

EAKRING

Theft – A pushbike was stolen from a rear garden on Montague Street sometime between 5pm on March 21 and 2.30pm on March 22. The bike is a large blue frame GT Aggressor with a yellow and black seat and has gold grips.

FOREST TOWN EAST

Burglary other than a dwelling – Portakabins were broken into sometime between 2pm on March 15 and 1.30pm on March 16 at Forest Town Arena. It is not known if anything was stolen.

Theft other – a black Carrera Vulcan pushbike was stolen from a bike shed at Garibaldi School some time during school hours on March 19. The bike has front and back lights and mudguards and has light green and yellow accents. The seat is slightly ripped.

LINDHURST

Theft from a motor vehicle – On March 18, four males were seen in a black old-style black Volkswagen Golf on Chatsworth Drive. The males were seen to throw something in their boot and a witness says a vehicle – believed to be a Toyota Auris – had been tampered with. The males are described as white, in their mid 20s and one was wearing a beanie hat.

PORTLAND

Theft – a pushbike was stolen from an underground garage on Woodland Park View sometime between 7pm on March 20 and 10.30am on March 21. The Carrera bike is black and is relatively new.

PRIORY

Theft from a motor vehicle – A black Vauxhall Corsa was broken into sometime between 8pm on March 20 and 10am on March 21. The offenders smashed the passenger side window to gain entry and stole a car stereo and various other items. CCTV is being investigated.

A blue Suzuki Vitara was broken into between 6am-12.20pm on March 16 while parked on Hunter’s Chase in Mansfield Woodhouse. It appears the offenders may have tampered with the passenger side door to gain entry. Cordless battery tools were stolen from within.

Theft other – ornamental figures of a resin duck and silver balls were stolen from the front of a property on Leeming Park in Mansfield Woodhouse. This was reported to police on March 17 but the offence is believed to have happened between March 14 and March 16.

RAVENSDALE

Theft from motor vehicle – a white transit van was broken into overnight on March 17 while parked on Nursery Street. The driver’s side window was broken to gain entry. Officers do not believe anything was stolen.

A vehicle was damaged while parked at Lochbuie Court. The bonnet had been dented and the windscreen and rear window smashed. The offence occurred between 6pm on March 16 and 7am on March 17.

Theft other – a purse and card wallet were stolen from a handbag while the victim was shopping at Wilko on Clumber Street. The offence happened between 2.30-3pm on March 18.

SHERWOOD

Burglary dwelling – There was an attempted burglary reported on March 18 at an upstairs flat on Burlington Drive. It appears the offenders tried to force open a kitchen door lock to gain entry but nothing was stolen. The offence occurred between 3.20-10.30pm on March 17.

WARSOP

Burglary dwelling – a back door was kicked in at a property on Kirton Close in Meden Vale. This was reported to police on March 22 and happened quite recently. Investigations are ongoing.
