Drug dealer jailed for intending to supply heroin in Sutton playground

A TEAR-AWAY teen has been jailed for more than three years for intending to supply heroin in a Sutton playground.

Dwayne Taylor, from Cambridge, admitted possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at Nottingham Crown Court on 26th August.

The 19-year-old was sentenced to three years and six months in prison and ordered to surrender all proceeds from his criminal dealings.

Taylor was stopped by police at the children’s park and skate ramps at Sutton Lawn at 12.50pm on 17th August last year after reports of a man peddling drugs.

A search revealed Taylor was carrying 16 silver foil wraps of heroin with a street value of £1,000. More than £700 cash was also seized by officers.

Pc Mark Clark said: “We have one less criminal on the streets of Sutton thanks to the patrols of our dedicated beat team.

“Hopefully this translates to the local community as increased confidence in their local police and an increased sense of security in their neighbourhood.”
