“Officers used Tactical Pursuit and Containment (TPAC) tactics to help stop the car safely.

“These tactics allow the runaway car to be brought to a controlled halt and ensure there is no immediate danger to the public.

“The car damaged two police vehicles, before colliding with a tree, but thankfully due to the time of the incident there was lighter traffic on the road and no injuries to anyone.

“The three people remain in police custody.”

Anyone with information about the incident should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
