A PAIR of burglars who stole cash and jewellery from an elderly woman’s home in Warsop are being hunted by police.
The burglary happened at around 4pm on Friday (11th November) at a bungalow on Stonebridge Lane, Warsop, after the pensioner answered a knock at her door.
A man asked if she wanted to buy some raffle tickets, before he pushed past her, despite her protests.
She followed him inside and he requested a glass of water. The victim went to get one and then noticed a second man standing in the doorway.
The men left the property but a quantity of cash, a ring and other items were found to have been stolen.
The suspects are described as: a white man, late 20s to early 30s, roughly shaven with a round face. He was well built, around 5ft 4” tall, and was wearing a jacket.
The second suspect was a white man, who was well built and in his late 20s to early 30s.
A police spokesman said: “These men targeted an elderly woman, not only taking money but also stealing a ring which holds sentimental value.
“She was left uninjured but is extremely shaken by what happened. We need to find these men and I would urge anyone with information to contact us.”
