Disqualified drivers, dodgy tyres and ‘terrible specimens’ as police patrol M1 near Mansfield

Police officers stopped a number of vehicles as part of a joint operation to ensure the safety of vehicles on the M1.

On Tuesday, March 8, the Derbyshire Police’s roads policing unit set up an M1 check-site, working with the enforcement teams from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, and the East Midlands Environment Agency.

The DRPU tweeted the ‘safety of vehicles an absolute priority for us’, and these are some of the ‘terrible specimens’ they stopped while on their patrols.
