The case of a man accused of striking another man with a knife and a piece of wood outside a shop in Shirebrook has continued to be considered at Derby Crown Court.

Piotr Jan Karasinski, 50, of Main Street, Shirebrook, has denied causing grievous bodily harm and denied two counts of having an offensive weapon at Victoria Street, Shirebrook, after the alleged incident on May 25.

His case was adjourned until a further hearing at Derby Crown Court on August 20.

A previous Chesterfield magistrates’ court hearing on May 28 had heard how Karasinski allegedly attacked Zbigniew Urban on Spring Bank Holiday Monday.
