Crackdown on illegal motorcycle use in Mansfield
Officers from Mansfield North Neighbourhood Policing Team are ramping up patrols in a bid to address community concerns in relation to illegal motorcycle use.
A spokesman from Mansfield North Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “As a team we are aware of the detrimental impact that illegal motorcycle use causes within our communities, as a result we have been conducting targeted patrols to remove the offending vehicles and their drivers from the roadways.”
One such rider after being sighted on a stolen moped was found in possession of a bladed article, a number of suspected class A wraps and cannabis and has since been prosecuted for a multitude of offences and the moped recovered.
