Council appeal after fly-tippers dump piles of rubbish behind Mansfield shops

Mansfield District Council has appealed for information after piles of rubbish were dumped behind Bellamy Road Shops.

A group of five people dumped the contents of two wheelie bins and a ‘large number’ of bags. The incident is believed to have happened at around 8.42pm on February 25.

Bagged waste including household waste, clothing and recyclable materials were among the pile of dumped rubbish.

The incident was captured by the CCTV camera that was installed in this area following previous incidents of this kind.

Fly-tipping is a serious criminal office and carries a fine of up to £50,000 and five years' imprisonment.
