Coronavirus in Nottinghamshire: Police reveal how many fines have been issued over lockdown laws

Police in Nottinghamshire have issued a total of 21 fines over a two-and-a-half week period for alleged breaches of coronavirus lockdown rules.

Between March 27 and April 13, members of the public were fined for alleged breaches of the lockdown rules set by the government in a bid to control the spread of coronavirus. Powers granted to police forces during the Covid-19 outbreak allow officers to fine or arrest those flouting measures designed to encourage people to stay at home as much as possible.
