Police were called just after 7pm today on Saturday (July 18) after the suspected World War Two grenade was spotted by walkers in woodland close to Braemar Road in Clipstone.
A specialist bomb disposal unit attended and a controlled explosion was carried out just after 9.30pm that evening.
