Coach driver faces crash charges

The Mansfield driver of a coach that collided with eight parked cars in Worthing, Sussex in June has been summonsed to appear before Worthing magistrates.

Paul Shields (47), of Pratt Close, Mansfield, was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment to minor injuries after the crash.

Nobody was in the vehicles at the time and he was the only occupant of the coach, according to police.

He will appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on 20th January to face charges of drink driving, driving without due care and attention and tachograph offences.
