Child taken to hospital after man seen throwing concrete slabs in Mansfield

A 29-year-old man has been arrested after a child was taken to hospital after being hit with a concrete slab.

Nottinghamshire Police officers received a report that a man was smashing windows and throwing concrete slabs at properties in the Ladybrook area around 3pm, July 10.

Once at the scene a man was taken into custody on suspicion of criminal damage, attempted burglary and an assault.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Moore said: "We received a report that a man had gone on a rampage attacking properties in Mansfield.

"Several people came out of their homes as a result of the commotion and sadly a child got injured in the incident.

"We won't tolerate violence and disorder and my team continues to work hard to gather evidence on this case."
