Police are investigating the theft of 18 heavy duty batteries from caravans parked at a storage site in Clipstone.
The thefts occurred at the Homestead Caravan Storage site in Seventh Avenue some time between 11pm on Friday 6th January and 1pm the following day.
Each of the batteries is 16ins long by 10ins wide and 8ins deep, and it is thought they may have been stolen to be sold on to scrap yards.
Officers investigating the thefts are keen to trace an R registration silver Peugeot car which was seen in the area at the time of the thefts.
