Cannabis grow seized and man arrested in Rainworth

Police swooped on the House in North Avenue at around 4pm yesterday afternoon.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cannabis.

Inspector Heather Sutton, of Nottinghamshire Police said: “This discovery is a great example of how strong links with our communities can lead to incredibly positive results.

“We were alerted to the property by a concerned member of the public and have now been able to confiscate more than 50 plants as part of our enquiries.

She added: “Lockdown has given drug dealers less opportunity to hide in plain sight and we have had some incredible successes in terms of drugs warrants over the last three months.”
