Burglars steal jewellery, a laptop and a guitar in Ashfield raids

Police are hunting burglars who broke into two Ashfield homes on the same evening

Jewellery, cash, a laptop computer and a guitar were among items taken as thieves forced their way into two nearby properties in quick succession.

The first burglary happened at an address in Wordsworth Avenue, Sutton, where a set of patio doors were smashed.

It is believed the second incident happened at around 7pm on Friday (23 October) evening.

Officers are also investigating another break-in at an address in The Fieldings, Huthwaite, where a rear window was forced open between 4.45 pm and 7.30pm on the same evening.

Detective Sergeant Gary Hewson,

“We are currently working on the belief that these two offences may have been committed by the same people and are appealing to members of the public for help.” Anyone who may be able to help the police is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 290 of 25 October.
