Burglar targeted Mansfield gym and vet's practice

Anthony Stone broke into Fitness Flex, on Portland Street, and tried to enter Forest Veterinary Practice, on Terrace Road, on March 28.

He also stole £134 of booze from Tesco Extra, on March 24, and £52 of groceries from Nisa, on Mansfield Road, on March 26.

Stone, 37, of Hilton Close, Pleasley, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft, entering a building as a trespasser and attempting to enter as a trespasser, when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court, on May 11.

He was jailed for 36 weeks, suspended for 12 months, and given an eight-week curfew, from 8pm to 6am, which will be electronically monitored. A ten-day rehabilitation activity requirement was also imposed and he must pay £186 compensation.
