Advice to be vigilant following Mansfield van thefts
Police officers investigating a series of Mercedes Sprinter van thefts in the Mansfield area are reminding people to secure their vehicles and make sure valuables are removed from them overnight where possible.

A series of incidents have been reported to the police since the beginning of October, leading to a plea from Nottinghamshire Police to secure your vehicles.
A spokesman said: “We had reports of three incidents in the Lower Ladybrook area overnight on Sunday (October 7) and two in the Littleworth area overnight on October 2.

Hide Ad“All the vans targeted so far have been newer models of Mercedes Sprinter vans.
“Further advice is to ensure that any tracker devices on the vehicles are activated and up to date, park in well-lit areas and consider CCTV as a preventative measure.
“Two men aged 26 and 34 years, were arrested on Monday (October 8) and released under investigation pending further police enquiries.”
