An account manager who admitted she was struggling with her own finances admitted shoplifting from a supermarket.
Andrea McKenzie (25) was spotted on CCTV by a security guard at New Ollerton’s Tesco store putting books, a mug and a gift bag into her own bag and trying to leave the shop without paying.
McKenzie, of Derby Road, Nottingham, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court without representation.
She cried as she said that the money she had on her was all she had when trying to explain why she went into the shop to take the items. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge, and told to pay £85 costs and a £15 discharge.
