17-year-old boy arrested after man suffers broken bones in 'brutal' Warsop assault

Police are questioning a teenager after a man was knocked unconscious and suffered a fractured eye socket, jaw and wrist during an assault in Warsop.

Officers investigating the assault on the victim, who is aged in his 20s, arrested a 17-year-old boy in Warsop, during the early hours of today (Sunday, March 21), on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He remains in custody in connection with the attack which happened on March 7.

Detective Inspector Kim Binns, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a brutal attack which left the victim with a number of broken bones.

"Violent behaviour of this nature will not be tolerated in our communities and will do all we can to identify those responsible for such offences.”
