Cream of the crop at Sutton Community Academy
The success of students, both within school life and the wider community, was celebrated when Sutton Community Academy hosted an annual rewards ceremony.
Invited speakers presented eight prestigious awards covering a variety of categories as students from years seven to ten were praised for their oustanding work and consistent effort in lessons.
Acting head teacher David Mackey handed out student of the year awards to those he felt had been role models in terms of their attendance, behaviour, commitment and positive attitude. One key speaker was year-13 pupil Jessica Willmott, who is visiting India this summer as an ambassador for the WE charity.
