Crash causes major delays on the A38 and M1
Drivers are facing delays on the A38 in Alfreton after a car crashed into the back of a lorry – also sparking chaos on the M1.
Police said they were called to the collision on the A38 northbound between Watchorn Island and Alfreton at 9.30am, bringing traffic to a standstill.
A spokesman for Derbyshire police said there were no serious injuries.
Junction 28 of the M1 is currently majorly congested because of drivers diverting away from the problems on the A38.
