Courageous Mansfield mum who battled cancer sadly passes away

Emma Brown, aged 38, was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier in the year, and after learning the cancer had spread, her family and friends rallied round to support her.

Emma's family and friends rallied around

Emma, who worked at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton, before her diagnosis , has two daughters and a young grandson.

Her family and friends held a fun day at the Sunnydale Inn, Mansfield Woodhouse in July and raised £921 to make Emma more comfortable.

The fundraising day was a real community affair, as funds were raised through a car wash, tombola and a raffle, and there was also children’s entertainment, with lots of family and friends in attendance to ensure the day was a positive occasion.

Emma sadly passed away on August 30.

The family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
