Copper chopper chases ‘naked’ Sutton man

Members of the public reported seeing the man driving a white Transit van erratically while naked on the M1 southbound in Hertfordshire at around 3,30pm on Wednesday.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit requested the driver to pull over but it is alleged he did not stop. The van was pursued and the police helicopter also attended.

The pursuit ended on the North Orbital Road (A414) near the London Colney roundabout where it connects with London Road, St Albans.

He is also suspected of driving a motor vehicle without its owner’s consent.

He is ordered to answer bail 20th March.
