Controversial EMAS ‘hub’ plans given go-ahead
The East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) trust board met at King’s Mill Hospital this morning to discuss its ‘Being The Best’ programme which is aimed at improving response times and providing a better service for patients.
As part of the proposals, which have attracted criticism since they were first put forward last year, would see nine new hubs would created, 19 ambulance stations, and 108 ‘community ambulance stations’.

Hide AdChief executive of the trust board, Phil Milligan, said: “This programme sets out how we will improve response times across the East Midlands and provide the right care.”
