Morning service on Sunday week was a led by Joan Wood and included readings from Margaret Robinson and Dr John Morley. The next service at the church will include Holy Communion on Sunday 30th September.
St Michael’s Church
Sunday morning’s family service was led by the Rev David McCullough. There were readings from Bev Perks and Nicola Cressy with Dr Alec wells playing the organ.
There was a full church for evensong on Sunday week. At a special service led by Barbara Tittensor and the Rev David McCullough a new Royal British Legion memorial book was dedicated.To provide a permanent record of all those people from Edingley who have served in the Armed Forces since 1914, Kevin Topham lead a campaign to obtain a leather bound Memorial Book. At the service relatives of those named in the book were joined by representatives from Farnsfield and Southwell branches of the Royal British Legion to take part in the dedication. The book is housed in a specially made glazed display case and contains the names of the 42 people from Edingley who have served in the three Armed Forces. Mr Topham, who served in RAF Bomb Disposal, spoke during the service expressing the gratitude of all the families.
