Community groups offered free paint

A Nottinghamshire County Council-backed project that provides free paint to the community has just one week left to run... and it’s appealing to local thespians.

‘Community RePaint’ take any surplus measures of paint, and re-distribute them to charities, schools, or any relevant groups that need to refurbish.

The council’s waste contractors, Veolia, also have a very hands-on role in this initiative.

Regional Communications Manager Kevin Parker has invited anyone producing a play or pantomime to take advantage of the project.

“This is a great opportunity for all sorts of community groups, to bring a bit of sparkle to the scenery, and get access to some good quality paint, which can make such a huge difference on stage,” he said.
