Visitors will be denied access to Clumber Park today as 60mph winds are forecast to batter the region.

The National Trust parkland, which covers more than 3,800 acres in Nottinghamshire, may not be safe for visitors due to the forecast high winds.

The announcement was made on the parks Twitter account this morning.

It said: “No entry to the park today due to high winds. We will let you know as soon as it is safe to open. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Live updates will appear on their social media accounts throughout the day.
