STAFF at the Co-operative Food store in Mansfield Road, Clipstone, used pedal power to visit local shoppers and let them know about the store’s £400,000 transformation last week.
On Thursday, the new-look store opened its doors and the team took to the streets on traditional style bicycles, delivering packages of Co-operative treats to homes neighbouring the popular food store on Mansfield Road.
The fully refitted store has a larger, ‘shopper friendly’ layout. There is an extended bakery offer, alongside an improved range of chilled produce and a wider selection of ready meals.
Manager David Harvey said: “Our shoppers lead busy personal and professional lives, they want a store that they can nip in and out of, grabbing the day-to-day items and quality fresh produce that they need, while still getting a high level of customer service. Whether they’re picking up bread for morning toast or looking for a tasty meal deal for dinner, they’ll find it in our store.
“I’m really looking forward to getting out and about and meeting the people that make our local community here in Clipstone what it is. There has always been a fantastic rapport between the store team and our customers when they come to do their shopping, so it’ll be a lovely change for us to go and visit them.”
