Church Warsop drink driver was almost three times over the limit

A Church Warsop man admitted to drink driving almost three times over the limit and causing criminal damage after he ‘kicked off’ at a party.

Mansfield Magistrates were told Brinsley Sean Cutts, of Birch Street, who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome was invited to a party in Mansfield Woodhouse on 16th February.

The court heard Cutts had been reluctant to go the event organised by his wife’s friend.

He felt out of his comfort zone at and drank about 10 cans of lager to help him deal with the situation.

The father of two became aggressive and damaged a chair before leaving the party with his car keys in his pocket and drove off.

He was breathalysed and found to have 98 mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

The legal limit is 35 mg.

Cutts said he could not remember anything about the incident and was not used to drinking alcohol.

He was disqualified from driving for two years, fined £110 with £85 costs and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
