Church volunteer caught with cannabis in Forest Town
Sean Huddart, 47, of New Road, in Bilsthorpe, admitted possessing the drug when he was stopped by police for driving erratically on Clipstone Road West, in Forest Town, in the early hours of April 19.
Ruth Snodin, prosecuting, said Huddart had one previous conviction for possession with intent to supply cannabis and crack cocaine from 2009.

Hide AdMichael Little, mitigating, said: “He was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2003. He has found that small amounts of cannabis help to take the edge off the pain.”
He said Huddart normally smoked two joints a day which helped to manage stomach cramps. He said Huddart, a grandfather of seven, volunteers at a local church.
Huddart was stopped with £4 of the drug.
He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £45 costs.
