St Mary Magdalene Church held “Burundi Funday” on Saturday, to raise awareness of the plight of the Burundian people and funds for the Baho Project, which helps 30 children, aged between seven and 20, in a parish of the capital city Bujumbura.

The Reverend Canon Kathryn Herrod said: “We would like to thank everyone who very kindly supported and gave most generously at both the funday and the church services too.”

The funday featured stalls, crafts, refreshments, and red, white and green tombola – the colours of the Burundian flag.
