VISITORS to Hardwick Hall will be able to check out the historic property’s Christmas decorations when it opens its doors for the first three weekends in December.
The atmospheric Elizabethan entrance hall will be filled with sounds of various musical groups including singers, school choirs and a brass band - while Hardwick’s rooms will be adorned with festive 40s decorations.
And bosses say younger visitors will be able to take part in a variety of crafts and activities at the hall during the run-up to the festive period.
Elsewhere at the National Trust property, there will be a wartime Christmas trail in the gardens - with a welcoming hot chocolate up for grabs as a prize.
The property’s restaurant will also be open, serving a variety of seasonal treats for visitors.
