Chocolate Chip Cookies recalled due to undeclared milk

Two discount supermarkets has recalled a range of chocolate chip cookies over allergy fears.

Poundworld Retail Ltd and T. J. Morris (Home Bargains) are recalling Disney Favourites Chocolate Chip Cookies.

These were produced by Jacobsens Bakery Ltd and are being recalled because the product contains milk, which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

The 150g tins of Disney Favourites Chocolate Chip Cookies recalled have a ‘best before’ date of 8 August 2017 and lot code: L10061590.

A statement from the manufacturers reads: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where you bought it for a full refund.”
