Jarvis did not need to attend the hearing because the court deemed the offences to be minor.
However, he was fined £135 for each number plate offence and was ordered to pay a £27 victim surcharge and £35 court costs.

Jarvis Cocker’s motoring infringement won’t be putting the brakes on his career as he is promoting a new book. The Sheffield-born singer has written Mother, Brother, Lover which covers his life and he also has a solo CD Further Complications. Many will recall him invading the stage during a Michael Jackson performance at the Brit Awards.
