A NEW pub restaurant is set to open in Mansfield next month, creating around 60 new jobs once completed.
The Golden Eagle is currently being built by Marston’s Inns and Taverns at Sherwood Oaks Business Park, off Southwell Road West between Mansfild and Rainworth.
Marston’s say that The Golden Eagle will offer a 2-for-1 deal - providing two main adult meals for the price of one - all day, every day and will be able to cater for 180 diners.
George Georgiou, from Marston’s Inns and Taverns, said: “We’re extremely excited about The Golden Eagle and hope when opened it will build a great reputation locally.
“We will be offering top quality, value for money pub food and an unrivalled selection of drinks, including cask ales from across the country.”
The pub is one of more than 60 currently being built by Marston’s Inns and Taverns across Britain.
Pub manager Ellie Higginson said: “The place is really starting to take shape, and we’re all getting really excited and can’t wait to begin welcoming customers from across Mansfield to what will be a great pub restaurant for families to enjoy.”
The Golden Eagle’s opening will buck an emerging trend of closures for many Mansfield pubs.
Pub and music venue the Town Mill, on Bridge Street, became the latest high-profile closure in December.
