Characterful development for historical Mansfield hall

A unique development in the East Midlands has had its official unveiling, allowing guests to see for themselves the start of a new chapter for the picturesque site.

Oakham Homes, which acquired the 18th Century High Oakham House of High Oakham Drive, Mansfield celebrated the start of a project that will see the loving refurbishment of a number of existing characterful properties and the creation of 18 stunning new homes in a parkland setting.

With secure access, winding lanes to each bespoke property, High Oakham Park will become one of the most exclusive addresses in the area.

Its picturesque parkland and woodland areas will be carefully managed, and the homes themselves will be designed to the owner’s individual requirements and crafted with skill.

High Oakham Homes directors Tim Martin, Richard Burns, Robert Bryant and Adrian Yeomans, who are all from the Mansfield area, were delighted to host the launch.

Tim said: “We’ve launched this project, a two phase approach, and it will see exquisite residences in the first phase, and then 18 bespoke, luxury homes in the parkland.

“This development, which will combine a wonderful setting with true craftsmanship, will see new families coming to the area and it will bring investment to the fine town of Mansfield.”

Work on the first phase of the development is already under way, but people will be able to see what it will look like by viewing the newly-released website www.highoakhampark.co.uk.

Mansfield’s Executive Mayor, Kate Allsop, unveiled the site, saying: “This is the most wonderful thing for Mansfield; to have the most aspirational, stunning houses up here, and the old building, loved in the past, will be loved again. It will be stunning.

“I’m pleased the directors have taken the opportunity to invest in this site, in Mansfield, and I’m looking forward to seeing the homes being built.”

John Sankey, whose company John Sankey Estate Agents is celebrating its 50th anniversary, was at the launch and his team will be handling the sales side of site.

He said: “In all my career I have advocated a development such as this in the Mansfield area. Having seen the plans and the architectural drawings, I know that this is going to be something very special and the sort of site you would normally only see somewhere like the Home Counties.”

Viewing of the development will be by appointment only. Call John Sankey Estate Agents on 01623 627247 for information.
