Fieldwork for its latest Quarterly Economic Survey – which is seeking the views of members about trading and business conditions – is now open.

As well as questions about the state of the local economy during the second quarter of the year, the Chamber is seeking views on smarter working practices, red tape, business support, access to finance and the potential impacts of EU immigration from Bulgaria and Romania.

The results will form part of the UK’s largest regular independent business survey, which is used by economists, Government departments, ministers and the Bank of England to influence decisions.

DNCC Chief Executive George Cowcher said: “The QES is a key Chamber document which helps us to understand trends in the local economy and the issues faced by the business community here in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

“This information is used to help direct Chamber policy and determine what DNCC campaigns on and lobbies for.”
