Chad readers get behind Olympian Becky Adlington amid facial surgery rumours

It has been widely reported across the national press this week that Becky attended a top Harley Street clinic for nose slimming surgery, but it is yet to be confirmed by Adlington herself.

After entering last year’s ITV show I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, the public were given an insight into how taunting comments posted on the 25-year-olds social media feeds left her feeling insecure.

She said the spiteful comments were one of the most challenging aspects of becoming an Olympian:“It was the hardest thing to get used to.

“I thought, ‘Why do people judge me for the way I look?’ It’s not as if I was trying to be a model.”

But Chad readers have backed Becky’s decision 100 per cent, whether the rumours are true or not.

Gabrielle Alexandra Lomas commented on Facebook: “Does it matter if she has or not? People should be focusing on her achievements not what she looks like!!”

Kerry Broom added: “What an amazing Olympic champion Rebecca is and can people please remember that.”

Becky won two gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games and announced her retirement from competitive swimming in January 2013.

She is due to marry swimmer, Harry Needs, in the summer.

Ian Paul Wordsworth commented: “Why is this such big news all its doing is mentioning something that she had shown concern in ... she was a good looking lass before and will be after. all the bullies and Muppets that need to keep rudely commenting should get a life and look in the mirror themselves as no one is perfect with or without surgery we are all unique and that’s what makes us all different the world wold [SIC] be a boring place if we all looked the same.”

Becky’s agent, David Pugh of Elite Sports Properties, said the star was not offering any comment on the rumours.
